Resize image to exact pixels

Set the width and height your form needs, choose how the photo should fit, and download. Free and private.

Your photo is processed in your browser and is never uploaded.

How to resize an image

  1. Enter the width and height in pixels. To keep the shape of your photo, fill in only one of them.
  2. Choose Crop, Fit or Stretch, and add a maximum KB size if your form has one.
  3. Choose your photo and tap Download JPG.

Crop, Fit or Stretch?

Converting centimetres or inches to pixels

Forms often give photo sizes in centimetres. At 300 DPI, multiply centimetres by 118 or inches by 300. For example, 4 × 5 cm is about 472 × 590 pixels, and 2 × 2 inches is 600 × 600 pixels.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize a photo without changing its shape?

Enter only the width or only the height. The other side is worked out automatically from your photo.

Can I resize and compress at the same time?

Yes. Enter a number in Max size and the resized photo will also be under that many KB.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?

No. The compression runs inside your browser on your own device. Your photo is never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone.

Is this tool free?

Yes. It's completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you compress.

Why is the result a little under the limit instead of exactly the limit?

Forms reject files that are even one byte over. DocSlim counts 1 KB as 1,000 bytes and aims just below your limit, so the file passes whether the website counts 1 KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.
